KLB systems Pty Ltd privacy disclosure has been created to conform with the "Amended Privacy Act (Dec 2001)"

3. KLB systems Pty Ltd's Privacy Principles
KLB systems Pty Ltd operates in accordance with the following privacy principles:
Principle 1: Collection of information
KLB systems Pty Ltd collects personal information in the following ways:
  • directly from you when you provide information by phone or in documents such as an application form (on-line or off-line)
  • from our own records of how you use our services
Principle 2: Use of information
Your personal information may be used in order to:

Principle 3: Disclosure of information
The organisations to which KLB systems Pty Ltd MAY disclose information include:

  • providing access would reveal the intentions of KLB systems Pty Ltd in relation to negotiations with the individual in such a way as to prejudice those negotiations or
  • providing access would be unlawful or
  • denying access is specifically authorised by law or
  • providing access would be likely to prejudice an investigation of possible unlawful activity or
  • providing access would be likely to prejudice:
    1. the prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution or punishment of
      1. criminal offences; or
      2. breaches of a law imposing a penalty or sanction or
    2. the enforcement of laws relating to the confiscation of the proceeds of crime;
    3. the protection of the public revenue;
    4. the prevention, detection, investigation or remedying of Seriously Improper Conduct; or
    5. preparation for, or conduct of, proceedings before any court or tribunal, or implementation of its orders; by or on behalf of an enforcement agency; or
  • any agency performing a lawful national security function asks KLB systems Pty Ltd not to provide access on the basis that providing access would be likely to cause damage to the national security of Australia.

If access to personal information is reasonably denied by KLB systems Pty Ltd based on the above or similar criteria, independent legal counsel may be sought at your expense. If KLB systems Pty Ltd levies charges for providing access to personal information, those charges:

  • will be reasonable and
  • will not apply to the actual request for access

Further, KLB systems Pty Ltd will post any changes in its stance on privacy in future versions of this document. 

Principle 7: Anonymity
Whenever it is practicable, you will have the option of remaining anonymous when dealing with KLB systems Pty Ltd.

Principle 8: Sensitive information
KLB systems Pty Ltd will not collect personal information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, or details of health, disability or sexual activity or orientation unless:

  • the subject of the information has consented; or
  • the collection is required or specifically authorised by law; or
  • the collection is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of any individual, where the subject of the information is physically or legally incapable of giving consent; or
  • the collection is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of a legal claim.

Principle 9: Compliance audit
KLB systems Pty Ltd convenes a panel to consider any initiative that will require the collection of personal data. The panel ensures that any request for data complies with the principles and rules outlined here, and is necessary for the reasonable running and development of KLB systems Pty Ltd.

4. Cookies
The web sites controlled and run by KLB systems Pty Ltd do not currently employ cookie technology.

5. Controlling my personal information

Typically at the time of data collection there will be a statement outlining the processes by which you can request the updating or deletion of your personal data.

Additionally you can contact KLB systems Pty Ltd in writing and request amendments to your data. This request should be addressed to "The Privacy Officer" at KLB systems Pty Ltd, or emailed to privacy@klbsystems.com.

6. Children

KLB systems Pty Ltd request that children under the age of 16 have a parent or guardian verify their registration on web sites and the submission of on-Line Forms. Whilst KLB systems Pty Ltd make every reasonable effort to ensure that children's privacy and other rights are not compromised, it is ultimately the responsibility of parents or guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage.

It is always wise for children to ask a guardian before sending any information over the Internet.

8. What else should you know about privacy?
Here's some advice to assist further in generally protecting you privacy on the Internet.

You are personally responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your username and passwords and/or any account information. Always ensure that sensitive data are transmitted only to web sites that are running encryption software to lessen the likelihood of the data's interception.
