WordPress 5.0 is due for release on November 19th 2018.
With this updated, the team from WooCommerce are urging all users to update to WooCommerce 3.5.1+ before WordPress 5.0 is released.
Besides fixing a large vulnerability that would allow a hacker with a single account to take over the entire site, there are a host of other bug updates, updates to the way WooCommerce works and more that make upgrading worthwhile. Of course you will need to check with your Website developer to make sure your site is ready for WooCommerce 3.5.1+.
When WordPress 5.0 is released, WooCommerce believes there could be compatability issues between the two as WordPress 5.0 has some large updates to its underlying structure.
KLB systems’ web hosting clients with monthly maintenance will be updated to 3.5.1 and have their themes checked prior to all updates being done, however if you are a customer of ours and do not have the monthly maintenance, we suggest you get updating or upgrade your web account to include the maintenance.
